The Civil Guard has dismantled a criminal organization specialized in burglaries in homes in the Part Forana. There are 15 arrests, and five ringleaders have been provisionally imprisoned.

The Civil Guard has dealt a definitive blow to a criminal organization that instilled fear in several towns in the Part Forana of Mallorca. Operation 'Triarii Bal', carried out by the Judicial Police Teams of Algaida and Inca, has concluded with 15 arrests and five of its main ringleaders in provisional prison.

Investigators attribute at least 18 burglaries with force in occupied homes to the group, committed in the municipalities of Pina-Algaida, Santa Eugènia, Sencelles, Consell, and Campos. The gang, composed of individuals of Maghreb and sub-Saharan origin, operated with a meticulous modus operandi: they monitored the victims, controlled their schedules, and chose the precise moment to strike.

One of the most serious incidents occurred in Pina-Algaida, where the criminals rammed a Civil Guard official vehicle to avoid being intercepted. Additionally, one of the leaders participated in a reckless chase between Calvià and Palma that endangered numerous drivers.

The operation's command centre was in an apartment in the Palma neighbourhood of Son Gotleu, equipped with extreme security measures to hinder police entry. From there, they coordinated the logistics of rental vehicles, which they obtained with false documentation or in the name of third parties, and the sale of the loot. The stolen items were quickly liquidated to receivers in the neighbourhood in exchange for cash.

The operation has resulted in 10 arrests as direct members of the organization, charged with burglary in occupied homes, belonging to a criminal organization, assaulting law enforcement officers, and reckless driving without a license. Additionally, four people have been arrested for facilitating the fraudulent rental of vehicles, and an employee in the rental sector has been detained for document forgery after manipulating contracts from his workplace.

The Civil Guard keeps the operation open and does not rule out further arrests or the attribution of more assaults. The investigation continues to clarify all the burglaries committed by the network and to locate possible collaborators who may still be at large.

For the residents of the Part Forana, the news brings relief after months of insecurity. Many of the homes that were broken into were occupied at the time of the robbery, which generated significant social alarm. Authorities recommend maintaining usual security measures and reporting any suspicious activity.
