The two events, held on 22 and 29 July, brought together numerous locals and visitors in Sant Marçal and Es Figueral, solidifying the occasion as a summer highlight in the municipality.
The Marratxí Town Council has reported a very positive outcome for the 2026 edition of Fang Tapa, held on 22 and 29 July, which once again turned local gastronomy into a meeting point for residents and visitors. The two days saw high participation in Sant Marçal and Es Figueral, establishing this gastronomic route as one of the most prominent events of the summer in the municipality.
The connection between both areas via a free tourist train facilitated travel between the participating establishments and allowed attendees to comfortably enjoy the entire route. Additionally, there was a children's programme, featuring bouncy castles and a play area in Sant Marçal, which transformed Fang Tapa into a leisure proposal for the whole family and contributed to creating a festive and communal atmosphere.
This edition featured Engrescats, Cafeteria Sant Marçal, Variat, and Local Nº 2 in Sant Marçal, as well as Smash Burger, Es Racó d’en Dax, and The Red Fort in Es Figueral. All of them offered tapas specially designed for the occasion and highly valued the significant turnout recorded during both days.
The Mayor of Marratxí, Jaume Llompart, highlighted that “Fang Tapa once again demonstrates that initiatives supporting local commerce and creating meeting spaces for citizens receive a fantastic response from residents and visitors. We will continue to promote proposals that energise our urban areas, support local businesses, and showcase the excellent gastronomic offerings of Marratxí.”
Meanwhile, the Councillor for Commerce, Odette Torres, emphasised that “the excellent response from the public and the involvement of the participating establishments confirm that Fang Tapa is now a fully established event. The connection via the tourist train has brought new customers to Sant Marçal and Es Figueral, boosting restaurant activity and enhancing the appeal of both areas.”
The council thanks the involvement of the participating establishments, as well as the attendance of residents and visitors who contributed to the success of this edition. The Marratxí Town Council will continue to promote initiatives that boost local commerce, strengthen the hospitality sector, and create meeting and communal spaces in all areas of the municipality.
