A judge in Palma has prosecuted a man for drugging and raping five women between 2015 and 2018. One of the victims was 14 years old when the relationship began.

A judge in Palma has issued a ruling against a man accused of drugging and raping five women, including a minor of 14 years. The magistrate considers that the testimonies of the complainants are "coherent and credible" and sees "important indications of criminality". The accused, who was arrested in early 2026, has been released on bail of 6,000 euros since late April.

Consistent accounts and a common modus operandi

The judicial ruling details that the five victims provided accounts with significant similarities and revealed a common pattern of behaviour. One of them explained that she met the accused in 2018, when she was 14 years old and he was 27. According to her testimony, the man would hit her during sexual encounters and took photographs, which were stored on his devices.

The National Police were only able to seize one mobile phone, as the suspect's computer has not been located. The other four complainants placed the incidents between 2015 and 2018. One of them recounted that one night the man gave her "at least one pill" of an unidentified substance, which left her "deprived of will" and unable to consent.

Another victim stated that the accused would often give her drugs that impaired her abilities and then raped her. The fourth complainant detailed an assault in the summer of 2017, taking advantage of the fact that she was drunk. The fifth reported having suffered an identical sexual assault in March 2017.

Peripheral evidence and precautionary measures

The magistrate states that she does not perceive any ulterior motive in any of the complainants. Their statements are supported by other evidence, such as testimonies from people in their environment and the photographs and conversations with the man that have been submitted to the case.

The accused was arrested at the end of January following an investigation by the Family and Women’s Unit (UFAM) of the National Police. He was imprisoned by court order but was released on bail of 6,000 euros at the end of April. The judge maintains this precautionary measure, as well as the restraining orders in favour of the five complainants "to preserve their physical and psychological integrity".

Charges and judicial process

The ruling declares the suspect prosecuted for five counts of sexual abuse, two of which are ongoing and one involving a minor under 16 years old. It also considers that there is evidence of another crime of corruption of minors for having produced pornographic material of the 14-year-old with whom he had a relationship.

The case has shocked the Palma society, which is closely following the process. The victims, who have testified in court, hope that the trial will take place as soon as possible. The accused, for his part, maintains his innocence. The defence has announced that it will appeal the ruling.
