Over 2,000 Argentinian fans have turned the Son Moix fan zone into albiceleste territory since 6:00 PM, hours before the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.

In Palma, the fan zone set up by the City Council at Son Moix has been a hive of albiceleste shirts, flags, and scarves since early afternoon. At 6:00 PM, when the doors opened, the first fans were already waiting to secure the best spots in front of the giant screen.
An albiceleste tide in Mallorcan territory
The parking lot next to the athletics track at Son Moix has filled up with Argentinians living in Mallorca and tourists who didn't want to miss the chance to see their team in a final. Cristian and Leo, two friends from Mar del Plata now living in Palma, couldn't hide their excitement. “It's true that Spain is tough, but with the heart and struggle of the Argentinian people, we can win,” Cristian stated. “The most important thing is that this final is Hispanic; neither English nor French is spoken, only Spanish. We are brother nations. It will be a celebration for everyone,” he added.
Among the attendees, Lucas, also from Mar del Plata and a resident of the island for five years, admitted that the crucial match was against England. “We live here, we work here. We all want to win, but just being in the final is good enough,” he said with tears in his eyes. Verónica and Francis, from Rosario and Córdoba respectively, had no doubt about the outcome: “Of course Argentina will win, and it will be a goal from Messi.”

The intense heat and humidity have not deterred the supporters, who have filled every available space.
