The Sanlúcar City Council has completed the repainting of horizontal signage in the areas of Bonanza and La Algaida, with an investment of €30,000. The work was carried out at night to minimise disruption to traffic.

The Sanlúcar City Council has finalised the repainting of horizontal signage in the neighbourhoods of Bonanza and La Algaida, an initiative aimed at reinforcing road safety in these areas. The work, executed by the specialised company Api Movilidad, has involved an investment of €30,000.

Nocturnal operations to avoid traffic disruption

Narciso Vital, Traffic and Mobility delegate, explained that the work was carried out at night to avoid interference with daytime traffic. “In this way, we have managed to improve the horizontal signage without interrupting normal circulation,” said the councillor.

The tasks focused on repainting pedestrian crossings and other road markings on the roadway, renewing key elements for orderly and safe circulation. The visibility of these signs is essential to facilitate the daily movement of residents in Bonanza and La Algaida.

An investment that paves the way for the Velada del Carmen

The City Council has allocated this budget to ensure that the signage remains in optimal condition. With the completion of the works, the city will have renewed signage in preparation for upcoming events, such as the traditional Velada del Carmen, which will attract numerous visitors.

For residents, the improvement means an increase in safety, especially at pedestrian crossings, where worn paint could pose risks. The initiative is part of the municipal plan for maintaining road signage, which anticipates periodic interventions at various points in the locality.

The Traffic delegate highlighted that the contracted company has used high-durability and reflective paint, ensuring good visibility both day and night. “With this investment, we improve the quality of life for residents and the experience for those who visit us,” added Vital.

The works have been well received by regular drivers and pedestrians in the area, who had long been requesting a renewal of the signage. The Traffic department plans to continue this type of initiative in other neighbourhoods throughout the year.
