The restaurant Can Punyetes, in Port d'Alcúdia, celebrates three decades of home cooking and a family atmosphere. Víctor and Paco, at the helm since 1995, maintain the essence of a venue that was born linked to the sea.

Can Punyetes, the popular cuisine restaurant in Port d'Alcúdia, turns 30 years old. Víctor and Paco, who have been running the business since 1995, have made this venue a benchmark for Mediterranean and Andalusian cuisine. The establishment, located on a pedestrian street in the old town, just a few steps from the Club Nàutic, continues to fill tables season after season.

From Shipyard to Reference Restaurant

The building that today houses Can Punyetes has nearly eighty years of history. During the 1950s, it housed a shipbuilding workshop run by master shipwright Pedro Bennàsar. With the relocation of the shipyard, the space hosted a barbershop, a painting workshop, a mechanical workshop, and even an arcade machine storage.

It was the tourist boom of the late seventies that transformed the space into a hospitality venue. In 1995, Víctor and Paco took over the management after fifteen years of training in various establishments. Their idea was clear: to offer Mediterranean and Andalusian cuisine, made in-house, with traditional recipes and quality products.

Dishes that Make a Difference

The menu at Can Punyetes reflects the philosophy of its owners. Octopus is one of the most requested dishes, along with the fried fish, perfect for sharing. The cuttlefish with sobrasada combines Mediterranean flavours with a strong Mallorcan character. The razor clams also stand out for their freshness and simplicity.

The unpretentious cooking and family treatment have retained several generations of customers. The team, stable for years, contributes to that close atmosphere that characterises the venue.

A Classic that Endures

Can Punyetes shows that you don't need grand artifices to become a classic. The combination of honest cooking, well-executed recipes, and friendly service has filled its tables for three decades. For the locals of Port d'Alcúdia, it is a place where time seems to pass at a different pace.

The restaurant remains a meeting point for residents and visitors. Those who return time and again know they will find the same flavour as always. The next time you stroll by the port, you know where to stop for a meal.
